One of the main aims to demonstrate is the extended air time (about 5 hours) by using micro-SOFC technology. The project consortium consists of 10 partners from 7 European countries. Catator is responsible for reformation of the propane as well as for combustion of anode waste gas (AWG) from the stack.
One of the major challenges within design of a integrated Fuel Processor (FP) and Fuel Cell stack is the weight and volume demands in a UAV system. One major advantage by using Catator’s mesh catalysts in UAV systems is the low weight, compactness and shape flexibility. This results in possibilities for a novel reactor design of the integrated FP – FC system.
